The Campus Kitchens Project at St. Lawrence University is a student-powered hunger relief organization. Executive board members and volunteers work to limit food waste and food insecurity by preparing a meal every Monday, with largely donated goods, that serves about 70 members of the local community in Canton, NY. On Tuesdays, healthy snacks are prepared for students at local elementary schools. I am a member of the Campus Kitchens Theme House, which requires a commitment of serving on the exec board and leading two shifts every week. During my Junior year, I served as the Recruitment Chair, a role that involves recruiting new house applicants and volunteers through social media efforts and events. This year, for my senior year, I will serve as a Co-President of the organization.
